• Get yourself on to Hwy 400 North.
• At Barrie, the highway splits into Hwy 11 and Hwy 400. (“The Split” – Doh!) Stay to the right to remain on the 400.
• Continue about another 120 Km to Exit 224 (Bowes St). (Tip: The exit numbers indicate the number of kilometers from Downtown Toronto.)
• Follow Bowes St for about 2 Km toward town. You’ll pass McDonalds, Shell, Tim Horton’s, Shoppers Drug Mart and just about every other major big city store.
• Turn left on Forest Rd. That’s the 5th light from the 400 exit. There’s a Glenn Burney Lodge finger sign there and at every turn from now on.
• Turn right at the end of Forest Rd on Parry Sound Rd.
• After about 1/2 Km, turn left on Emily St.
• The lodge is a little under 4 Km from here. Look for a the second downhill left bend. Just past it, our road runs straight off immediately before a sharp right bend. There is a large sign there. We’re about 1/2 Km along this road. If you get to the swing bridge, you’ve gone a bit too far.
• Park and get ready to experience true joy!
